Shimmer Shine Clean wants to answer any possible questions you may have about our home cleaning services. The following information regarding costs and payment, cleaning procedures and insurance should hopefully answer many of the questions you have.
About Shimmer Shine Service
First off, how do I know I can trust Shimmer Shine Clean?
We are a 100% local company based in Virginia, but we service many areas throughout Virginia USA. Since 2021, owner Sharee Curtis has been committed to paying competitive wages and using only experienced, trustworthy cleaners living in the local area. All our cleaning team members are also insured and bonded.
What cities are in your service area?
Since Shimmer Shine Clean is a local, full-service cleaning company based in Virginia, we service homes and business clients throughout Virginia Beach. The cities we currently service are: Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Richmond, Arlington, Newport News, Alexandria, Hampton. Shimmer Shine Clean is of course willing to come to other Virginia USA locations!

Costs and Payment Information
What are your payment options?
We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
Does someone need to be at the business for you to clean?
No, we can clean during whatever time you prefer — during business hours or after hours.
Can you clean after special events?
Yes we can. Please call in advance to schedule a special cleaning, so we are prepared to fully accommodate you.
Can I get an estimate over the phone?
Unfortunately, we cannot ensure accuracy over the phone, so this is not an option. We are available to schedule quotes Monday thru Friday.
Do I pay for an estimate?
No, we do not charge for estimates. If you are interested in cleaning services for your home, please call us to set up an appointment. One of our cleaning supervisors will come to your home or office to perform a free assessment.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract with Clean Corners?
No, you are not required to sign anything. We work off of a written proposal detailing your chosen cleaning services and their cost. This way, you can alter your cleaning service needs at any time with just a phone call.
Cleaning Procedures Information
What is your cancellation policy?
We accept cancellations or rescheduled appointments 48 hours in advance. Please understand that we book our appointments very early, so scheduling an appointment on short notice is often not an option.
Are your employees screened with background checks?
Yes! All of our employees are screened with MI State Police background checks, personal reference checks, uniformed with identification cards, insured and bonded before they enter your business.
Should I clean up before Shimmer Shine Clean arrives?
Since we charge by the hour, it would be helpful for you to pick up any clutter before we arrive. This will ensure that we clean as much floor space as possible. However, there is no need to clean – let us do that for you.
How do I know what you have cleaned while you were here?
Before our cleaner leaves your home, they complete a cleaning checklist. This checklist tells you everything we cleaned. If everything is unable to be cleaned in one visit, the areas our cleaner missed will be noted on the checklist and given the most attention during the next visit.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, we do! If you are dissatisfied with a cleaning visit, we will send a supervisor to solve any problems right away and credit that cleaning on your next invoice. Basically, you don’t have to pay for cleaning you’re not happy with. If you invest in quality office cleaning from Clean Corners, we promise you nothing less than quality work.
Do I have to be home when you arrive? If not, how do you enter?
We offer several methods of entering your home, so you don’t have to run home just to let out team inside. Two of the more popular options are keeping a copy of your house key in our office or using a lockbox on your back or side door. If you prefer to be home while our cleaner is there, or even for the first few visits, then that is of course fine with Shimmer Shine Clean.
Insurance Information
Does Clean Corners have proper insurance?
Shimmer Shine Clean carries General Liability insurance and Workman Compensation coverage. We maintain insurance to protect you from damaged property or any worker injuries that may happen while our staff cleans your home.
Who is your insurance provider?
Hastings Mutual insures Shimmer Shine Clean with liability and workman’s compensation. We are happy to have them send you our proof of insurance.
